The Great Outdoors

Green Lake

Being the largest lake in Whistler you can expect many stunning viewpoints around Green Lake. Located north of Whistler, on the way to Emerald, Green Lake is surrounded by Wedge Mountain and the Armchair Glacier which provide amazing snowy backdrops over the stunning aqua lake. Hidden within Nicklaus North Golf Club, the Nicklaus North Dock is a must for a unique photo opportunity. The 10+ meter dock runs out onto Green Lake and has a backdrop of Rainbow Mountain. In the colder months, Green Lake also fully freezes which is spectacular when covered with snow.

Whistler Train Wreck

For those that are not discouraged by a walk through snowy trails, the set of carriages left at the Whistler Train Wreck from a derail train in the 1950’s gives off very artistic photo opportunities in the Winter. Majority of the carriages are covered in bright colored graffiti which bounces off the white snow on a sunny day.

Rebagliatti Park

Tucked away in Whistler Upper Village and next to Fitzsimmons Creek, Rebagliatti Park makes for some beautiful photos alongside the running river. It is also home to another amazing spot as the cabin styled, wooden bridge crossing the river makes for a picturesque scene from either on the bridge or below it.

Brandywine Falls

A hot spot in the Summer, a hidden gem in the Winter. Brandywine Falls, located a 10 minutes south of the Crystal, is home to a 230 foot waterfall which is surrounded by a giant snow pillow from December until March. The trail head starts from the carpark and will lead you to an amazing lookout. If it has snowed a lot in the previous days, we recommend taking snowshoes to make the trek easier.

Active Adventures
