The Holidays In Whistler After Hours Edition
There’s a little bit of magic for everyone in Whistler during the holiday season, especially after the sun sets.
A magical feeling sweeps through Whistler as a snowy wonderland descends upon us. With so many joyous activities and events, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. We’ve made a list and checked it twice, narrowed it down to only the nicest of nice “things to do after hours” during the holidays.
This year the upper and lower village is looking extra festive with a light spectacle to be envied. The village stroll is a wonder in itself being strung with millions of Christmas lights that glisten in the snow and are sure to create an extra twinkle in your eye.
After a long day of exploring take a self-guided walking tour to these locations to see the best of the brightest: Whistler Way, Olympic Plaza, Gateway Loop, Village Square, and the Upper Village Stroll.
While you’re on a self-guided light tour around Olympic plaza why not stop and take part in Whistler’s free ice skating rink. No skates? That’s ok, skates can be rented for $6 at the rental kiosk. Skate under the stars whiles festive crowd-pleasing tunes play aloud.
Olympic Plaza also offers a Snow Zone for kids and adults young at heart to dust off their toboggans and slide into winter fun. This free zone is located next to the outdoor ice rink.
Warm up with some of the best hot chocolate in town from Blenz Coffee Whistler which is locally owned and makes their hot chocolate using real Belgium chocolate chips! Any flavor you choose dark, milk or white chocolate will not disappoint. Don’t forget to get your drink to go so you can get extra toasty standing around one of the two outdoor fireplaces around Olympic Plaza.
Ask our reservations team about the Olympic Plaza activities today. Call 1.800.667.3363 or email [email protected] to book your accommodation at the Crystal Lodge and experience the festive fun first hand.
